Job summary

Gray Construction seeks a Construction Project Manager for the Food & Beverage market to lead projects in Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; or Lexington, KY. You will coordinate trades, manage schedules, control costs, and ensure safety and quality while guiding multi-disciplinary teams from design through commissioning.

The role requires eight-plus years in construction management, a related Bachelor's degree, and strong MS Office proficiency. A dynamic, collaborative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of experience in construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture).
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and Gray-provided software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interrelated activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, design, and engineering efforts.
• Monitor financial status and manage subcontract and contract administration.
• Develop progress schedules ensuring construction aligns with the plan.
• Purchase and monitor materials to meet scope, price, and quality targets.
• Negotiate contracts with trade partners and vendors to minimize risk.
• Review payment requests from trade partners and vendors.
• Evaluate change order requests in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to meet technical requirements and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and present reports (monthly red files, schedules, billings, status reports).
• Organize and maintain job files to ensure workflow continuity.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for scope compliance.
• May estimate efforts and participate in proposals.
• Enforce Gray’s safety and quality programs on site.
• Lead multiple teams through project milestones.
