Job summary

Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing, part of the Installed Building Products family, seeks an experienced estimator/project estimator to manage bid preparation, analyze drawings, and coordinate with the estimating team. You will interact with architects and contractors, prepare detailed quotes, and support project kickoff with subcontractor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction as a superintendent, project manager, or estimator.
• Division 7 experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Attend sales meetings to review bid statuses and receive new assignments.
• Prepare detailed, standardized quote letters and bids for prime bidders.
• Follow up on bids and analyze scope differences with competitors.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to determine full scope of work.
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for management purposes.
• Confer with production teams to plan scheduling, manpower, materials, and logistics.
• Negotiate prices and the scope of work with sales representatives after award.
• Prepare and forward submittals to contractors for review.
• Review job costing and suggest areas for improvement in internal processes.
