Job summary

ARCO National Holdings is seeking a Construction Project Manager Co-op for a 6–8 month, full-time summer/fall 2027 in Canton, OH. The role supports project managers with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyouts, permitting, shop drawings, billing, and site visits.

Enrolled students pursuing civil, mechanical, architectural, or construction management degrees with a 3.0+ GPA are encouraged to apply. Compensation is competitive and includes a housing stipend, ESOP credit, and end-of-term

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – describing project proposals and assigning dollar values to the projects.
• Scheduling – creating a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time.
• Design meetings – attend design meetings with owner and team to understand proposals from engineers and architects.
• Buyout – issue bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subs; evaluate proposals and award subcontracts.
• Permitting – fill out permit forms, submit with drawings and fees, and await approvals.
• Shop drawing/submittal review – review submissions and coordinate material orders.
• Billing – manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
• Job site visits – accompany PM and monitor project progress.
