ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager Co-op for a 6–8 month full-time program in Canton, OH. The role supports PMs with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, shop drawings, billing, and site visits.

The internship requires enrollment in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management degree and a minimum GPA of 3.0. Strong communication and work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program
• Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Previous Internship or Co-op construction experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Estimating – describe project proposals and assign dollar values
• Scheduling – create a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time
• Design meetings – attend meetings with owner and team to understand design proposals
• Buyout – issue bids, schedule and drawings to subcontractors and evaluate proposals
• Permitting – fill out permit forms and submit for approvals
• Shop Drawing and Submittal Review – review submittals and communicate to subcontractors
• Billing – manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications
• Job Site Visits – accompany PM and ensure project progress
