Job summary

JRM Construction Management in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks an experienced Project Manager to serve as the primary client contact and oversee project administration, budgets, and schedules across multiple projects. You will coordinate with field staff and leadership to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to read drawings and specs, and experience managing projects up to $10M. This position is office-based with field collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years PM experience in commercial construction.
• Experience in occupied interiors or high-end spaces preferred.
• Strong client-facing and collaboration skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison between client, design team, consultants, and subcontractors throughout all phases of the project.
• Lead and manage project administration, including document control, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and closeout documentation.
• Prepare, review, and track project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports with senior leadership and accounting teams.
• Oversee and execute all project financial controls, including change orders, billing, receivables, lien releases, and subcontractor payments.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule with the Superintendent, aligned with phasing and procurement timelines.
• Coordinate daily construction activities with field staff; monitor quality and mitigate delays.
• Identify and manage project risks, delays, and claims with timely updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Senior PM or Project Director on strategy, staffing, and high-level decisions.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects up to ~$10M or serve as lead PM on larger projects focusing on financials and documentation.
• Operate independently in PM duties when not staffed with an Assistant PM.
• Interface with Superintendents on field execution for complex projects.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, company policies, and safety standards.
• Maintain open communication and progress updates with stakeholders.
