Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Architectural Designer to develop layouts, space plans, and detailed construction documents for stores and renovations in collaboration with architects, engineers, and contractors.

You will review drawings for accuracy, support planning and permitting, and conduct site visits to verify conditions. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp/Enscape, and strong coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in an architecture, design, engineering, or construction-related environment.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD / Adobe Creative Suite proficiency.
• Experience with SketchUp, Enscape, or other visualization tools is a plus.
• Solid understanding of architectural drawings, space planning, and construction documentation.
• General understanding of building codes, construction methods, and architectural coordination.
• Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and coordinate architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work with multiple disciplines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of following projects through from planning to completion.
• Previous experience with retail, commercial, hospitality, or large-scale interior/architectural projects is a plus.
• Experience with project management, construction administration, permits, or consultant coordination is a strong plus.
• Korean and English bilingual proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate architectural layouts, space plans, and construction documents for new store and renovation projects using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate design requirements and resolve project issues.
• Review architectural and engineering drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
• Support project planning, permitting, bidding, scheduling, and construction coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits and field verification as needed to evaluate existing conditions and support design development.
• Maintain project drawings, revisions, and documentation while managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
