Skyline Construction is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process weekly payroll for ~400 employees across California and other states. Based in San Francisco or San Jose, you will ensure accuracy, compliance with federal/state/local laws, and timely reporting for a commercial construction workforce.

You will collaborate with HR, Project Managers, and Accounting, handling certified payroll, wage reporting, and deductions, while maintaining confidentiality and meeting tight deadlines.

Competenze

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of payroll processing experience.
• Construction industry payroll experience strongly preferred.
• Experience processing payroll for 300+ employees.
• Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting a plus.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and wage laws.

Mansioni

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 400 employees.
• Review and audit timecards, labor allocations, job costing, and payroll data for accuracy.
• Process payroll adjustments including bonuses, reimbursements, deductions, garnishments, and retroactive pay.
• Ensure accurate allocation of labor costs to projects and cost codes.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects.
• Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, including Davis-Bacon requirements where applicable.
• Process union payroll, union dues, fringe benefits, and related reporting, if applicable.
• Administer wage garnishments and other involuntary deductions.
• Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reporting, including W-2 processing.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and timekeeping.
