Job summary

TW Constructors is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our accounting team in St. Louis, MO.

You will manage weekly payroll for union and non-union staff across multiple companies, ensure accurate tax withholding, and handle benefit enrollments and 401(k) contributions. The role requires handling confidential information with integrity, meeting weekly and monthly deadlines, and collaborating with HR and providers to resolve enrollment issues.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of payroll experience.
• Experience processing union and non-union payroll in the construction industry.
• Experience enrolling and changing employee benefits and payroll deductions preferred.
• Experience preparing and submitting certified payroll reports.
• Strong understanding of payroll principles, federal/state tax requirements, and general accounting fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Review timesheets and process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees.
• Calculate wages, overtime, taxes, garnishments, and deductions.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports (certified, monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Respond to employee questions on payroll and benefits deductions.
• Maintain accurate payroll/tax/benefits records and run open enrollment processes.
