Job summary

Leoforce in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the weekly payroll for about 400 employees in a hybrid setting. You will apply a strong background in payroll management, accounting, and keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.

The role requires expertise with UKG payroll, CPP is preferred, and the ability to coordinate with HR, manage payroll systems, and support audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a payroll management role, preferably in construction.
• Experience with UKG and salary payroll.
• Managing payroll for ~400 employees (union and salary).
• Proficient with automated payroll systems and payroll tax knowledge.
• CPP designation preferred.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekly payroll preparation, distribution, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
• Coordinate with HR for accurate employee data.
• Resolve payroll production issues promptly.
• Maintain and review payroll processing systems for timely, accurate transactions.
• Prepare records and reports of payroll activity.
• Support audits by providing necessary records.
• Identify improvements for payroll software and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
