Watson Electrical is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to support the legal and compliance functions in Wilson, NC. The role focuses on corporate governance, lien administration, and contract oversight within construction projects.

You will manage statutory compliance, bond-related activities, and prequalification processes while ensuring state and federal regulatory alignment for the company.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies.
• 2-4 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in construction law or with a large-scale contractor.
• Strong understanding of NC and VA construction law, including liens and bonds.
• Excellent document drafting and portal navigation skills.

Responsibilities

• NC Lien Agent administration and lien rights preservation.
• SAM.gov renewal and entity validation management.
• HUB/MBE reporting and good-faith effort documentation.
• Bonding coordination with surety and management of COIs.
• Portal administration for prequalification platforms and bid forms.
