Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) seeks a qualified supervisor to plan and direct OSHA compliance officers, directing inspections and investigations to support the agency’s mission to make SC a safe place to work and live.

You will review inspection and investigative reports, advise on courses of action, train staff, perform evaluations, and testify at hearings when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
• Three years of relevant program experience preferred.
• SC OSHA Training or 5+ years state OSHA experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct OSHA compliance officers who conduct inspections and investigations.
• Review inspection and investigative reports and analyze evidence for action.
• Supervise compliance officers and provide training and development.
• Conduct on-the-job evaluations and advise on handling inspection issues.
• Provide advice on complex OSHA issues at informal conferences and hearings.
