Job summary

Black & Veatch Construction, Inc. (BVCI) is seeking an Operations Support Manager to provide operational support to Presidents across BV OCI entities.

The role requires travel about one week per month to the Overland Park, KS office, site visits as needed, and collaboration with Finance, Estimating, HR, Legal, and project leadership to strengthen project execution and workforce capabilities. The position covers licensing and compliance stewardship, cost control, and strategic communications,

Qualifications

• 12 years' experience in construction management, operations, pre-construction, or relevant field.
• Experience supporting construction operations, workforce programs, and/or field enablement in a multi-site environment.
• Experience coordinating and managing licensing, credentialing, or regulatory compliance processes or equivalent documentation-intensive programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to field offices and headquarters; facilitate staff meetings and communicate updates.
• Lead proposal and pre-construction coordination; manage SMEs and the SME program.
• Lead licensing and compliance efforts across jurisdictions; ensure documentation is tracked and auditable.
• Track and interpret performance metrics; support executive and operational reporting.
• Develop supplemental training; focus on union requirements and field readiness.
• Enhance craft onboarding, engagement, and retention; track adoption of initiatives.
• Partner with Finance to develop and monitor budgets; improve financial visibility.
