Job summary

Atmos Energy is seeking a Construction Operator to join our Herington, KS team. The standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm with required overtime, stand-by and call-out. Residency in the area is required.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain and maintain Operator Qualifications (OQs) and related training. Welding experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Requires a general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license per company standards.
• Completes assigned classes and training to obtain and maintain Operator Qualifications (OQs).
• Ability to utilize company resources for data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic, routine work using clearly prescribed procedures.
• Assists in installation and maintenance of natural gas lines, meters and regulators.
• Assists in conducting leakage surveys.
• Maintains accurate records and reports to meet company and regulatory requirements.
