Job summary

The JOY FM in Orlando seeks a Director of Construction Operations to lead the construction team, oversee budgeting and forecasting, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role collaborates with executives to review WIP, performance, and growth plans while maintaining high mechanical and safety standards.

You will work with HR to recruit, onboard, and develop staff, enforce quality procedures, and manage cost controls, licenses, and records across all projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform takeoffs.
• Strong data analysis and decision-making skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• PC computer skills.
• Understanding of financial statements, including WIP.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to review budget and department performance.
• Forecast workforce capacity and adjust staffing with HR.
• Review pre-construction estimates with Chief Estimator.
• Control labor and material costs through staffing and purchasing.
• Ensure projects are completed, invoiced, and closed timely.
• Maintain departmental quality assurance program.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop construction staff.
• Conduct annual performance reviews.
