Job summary

Acousti Engineering is seeking a Construction Cost Control Manager in Orlando, FL to oversee financial management of complex construction projects, ensure on-time delivery within budget, and align with strategic goals. This role develops estimates, tracks spend, and mitigates financial risk across project lifecycles.

The ideal candidate has analytical expertise, construction finance knowledge, and a collaborative approach. Exempt, full-time role reporting to Controller.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction cost control or quantity surveying experience.
• Budgeting, cost tracking, and financial forecasting.
• Knowledge of construction feasibility, draw inspections, and scope analysis.
• Proficiency with Procore, PlanGrid, Sage, and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project budgets and forecasts based on historical data, scope of work, and market trends.
• Monitor actual costs against budgets and forecast expenditures for leadership reports.
• Conduct variance analysis and deliver timely financial reporting to executives.
• Review draw requests, inspect progress, and guide cost-related issue resolution.
• Manage change orders and assess impact on budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, finance teams, and executives.
• Continuously improve cost management tools, workflows, and systems.
