Job summary

Just Construction Recruitment in Orlando, FL seeks an experienced Controller to lead the finance function for a growing commercial specialty contractor. The role emphasizes accurate reporting, internal controls, and close collaboration with project managers to ensure financial success on complex interior construction projects.

The ideal candidate brings construction industry experience, GAAP proficiency, and a hands-on approach to WIP and job costing, with a track record of building strong teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Experience as Controller or senior accounting professional in a construction setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to manage and develop accounting personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
• Lead the accounting/finance team and close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee WIP accounting, percent-of-completion and job costing.
• Monitor project financial performance, margins, revenue and costs.
• Coordinate audits, tax requirements and external reporting.
• Provide senior leadership with financial analysis and recommendations.
