Genesis10 is seeking a hands-on Director of Construction Operations in Akron, OH, to provide companywide leadership for project management and field operations. The role reports to the President and offers a path toward a Vice President position, with travel across NE Ohio and potential out-of-state assignments.

Based in Fairlawn, OH, the director will drive performance, risk management, and talent development while aligning project management with field operations and maintaining strong client

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive commercial construction experience.
• Proven ability to lead multiple complex projects and project teams.
• Strong financial, contractual, scheduling, and risk-management expertise.
• Experience working closely with superintendents and senior field leaders.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold experienced professionals accountable.
• The judgment to know when to delegate, coach, or intervene directly.

Responsibilities

• Lead companywide project management and field operations.
• Monitor project financial performance, schedules, staffing, risk, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Identify at-risk projects early and lead practical recovery efforts.
• Coach and develop project executives, project managers, and the General Superintendent.
• Improve collaboration and accountability between office and field teams.
• Strengthen project forecasting, change management, contract administration, procurement, and closeout.
• Support the General Superintendent with field staffing, succession planning, performance management, and superintendent development.
• Build scalable operating practices that support continued growth without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Develop strong relationships with key clients, design partners, and trade partners.
