Overview

The township is seeking a qualified Construction Official to oversee the administration and enforcement of the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code and related laws, regulations, and Township ordinances. Under the direction of the Township Manager, the Construction Official will supervise the Construction Department, including subcode officials, inspectors, and administrative staff; oversee the review and issuance of construction permits; coordinate building, plumbing, electrical, and fire required inspections; and ensure compliance with approved plans and applicable codes, as well as performing the duties as the Flood Plain Administrator. Qualified candidates must possess a valid New Jersey Construction Official License and at least one Sub-Code Official License with the applicable technical license at the HHS level pursuant to N.J.A.C 5:23-5.6.
