Job summary

Hynes & Associates is seeking an assistant testing manager/senior engineering technician to oversee field inspections and support testing of construction materials. The role entails supervising staff, report writing, training, and scheduling across active sites in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of relevant experience with some supervisory exposure and a four-year degree in management, construction management, or engineering.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience with some supervisory experience preferred.
• Four year degree in management, construction management or engineering will be given priority.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and handle field/test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and testing of construction materials.
• Prepare daily reports, sketches, data sheets and weekly project reporting.
• Interact with owner and contractor teams and attend project and safety meetings.
