Qualifications
1–3 years of relevant experience with supervisory experience is preferred.
A four‑year degree in management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.
Strong initiative and math skills.
Good communication and time management skills.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
Responsibilities
Conduct field observations, sampling and testing of construction materials.
Prepare daily reports, sketches, data sheets and weekly project reporting.
Attend project and safety meetings.
Assist the testing manager with department operations and interact with owner and contractor teams.
Perform routine to complex inspections and testing of construction materials (soils, aggregate, mortar, grout, and concrete).
Become an American Concrete Institute certified field testing technician.
Lifting or moving up to 60–80 lb of soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, etc.
