Job summary

Engineering Consulting Service seeks a Construction Materials Testing Intern Level I to observe and assist in field and laboratory testing for construction materials projects. You will collect data, document results, and support testing activities under supervision while learning testing methods and project workflows.

The role emphasizes soil, concrete, asphalt, and related materials testing with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and customer service within ECS core values.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Associate, Bachelor, or Master in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Completion of certifications within stated timeframes (90-day intro, 270 days for basic certs).
• Must have or obtain a valid driver’s license if driving for ECS.

Responsibilities

• Assist field and lab testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
• Document site conditions and testing results in field reports.
• Prepare and organize field and lab equipment; perform data entry and calculations.
