Job summary

Centurion Planning & Design LLC is seeking a full-time in-office Construction Materials Laboratory Technician to join our Materials Testing Department in Texas. The role focuses on laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials per ASTM, AASHTO, TxDOT, and project specs.

You will maintain test records, assist with sample prep, and ensure testing is completed accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong math skills including fractions, decimals, percentages, weights and volumes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow testing procedures precisely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a laboratory setting.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills to document tests accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Prepare, cure, handle, and test concrete specimens, including cylinders.
• Perform moisture-density tests, gradations, Atterberg limits, and other soil/aggregate tests.
• Record test results accurately and enter data into reporting systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized lab workspace and assist with equipment checks.
