Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Laboratory Construction Materials Testing Technician in California to join our Construction Services team. The role focuses on testing soils, asphalt, aggregates, and concrete materials in the lab, verifying compliance with project specifications, and supporting geotechnical objectives.

You will travel locally to project sites, perform a range of tests, maintain detailed records, and collaborate with engineers and senior technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred certifications include ACI and Caltrans in soils, aggregates, and asphalt.
• Must be able to operate a computer and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex testing of soils, asphalt, aggregates, and concrete materials.
• Verify conformance to construction plans and specifications and geotechnical engineering purposes.
• Travel locally to fulfill project assignments; majority work at Hayward Laboratory.
