Job summary

Kleinfelder's Sacramento and Stockton, CA offices are seeking a Laboratory Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team. You will perform routine to complex testing of soils, asphalt, aggregates, and concrete materials in our Hayward Laboratory and travel locally to fulfill project assignments.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, strong initiative, and will use MS Office daily; a valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have own vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel locally.
• Certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing of soils, asphalt, aggregates, and concrete materials in the laboratory.
• Verify conformance to construction plans and specifications and geotechnical engineering purposes.
• Travel locally to fulfill project assignments as required.
• Be detail oriented and perform various tasks at the supervisor's discretion.

Kleinfelder's Sacramento, and Stockton, CA offices are seeking a Laboratory Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team.

We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in in joining a dynamic team and building their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing.

We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex testing of construction materials in the laboratory,to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications and geotechnical engineering purposes.

The Technician will perform testing on soils, asphalt, aggregates, and concrete materials. Must be detail oriented. Technician may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.

Preferred Certifications (or ability to obtain) include:

• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician - Grade I
• ACI Aggregate Testing Technician
• ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician
• Caltrans Certification Soils, Aggregates, and / or Asphalt

Must be able to use a computer and a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Majority of work will be at the Hayward Laboratory, but must be willing to travel locally as required to fulfill local project assignments.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Scale Disclosure Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Pay range: $17.58 - $ 29.35 hourly.
