Job summary

WSB is seeking a Lab Technician, Materials to perform field and laboratory tests on construction materials, ensuring compliance with project specs and industry standards. The role supports environmental, engineering, and construction projects by providing accurate data, maintaining equipment, and preparing detailed reports.

You will collaborate with engineering staff, contractors, and clients to ensure quality and safety on construction sites, with occasional travel and outdoor work in all

Qualifications

• Experience and/or certifications related to construction inspection or construction materials testing preferred but not required.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Must pass Nuclear Density Safety Course within 60 days of employment.
• Travel may be required and reliable transportation is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests according to prescribed procedures and standards.
• Collect soil and concrete samples and prepare them for testing.
• Record data and prepare summary reports.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment.
• Inspect construction activities and ensure materials meet specifications.
• Maintain contact with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Work with engineering staff and other team members.
