Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician for our Princeton team in West Virginia. No experience is required as you’ll be trained by experienced professionals to learn field sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, and concrete.

You will perform tests and data collection under supervision, communicate with contractors and project managers, and pursue certifications in CMT and ASTM standards as you progress.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards, leading to certifications.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) at project sites under supervision.
• Testing Procedures: perform routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards.
• Data Collection: perform calculations and data reduction from test results; assist with drafting and admin duties.
• Communication: maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians and project managers; report changes and coordinate testing.
• Training and Development: receive training in ECS methodology and document findings with precision.
