Saulsbury Industries in Odessa, TX is seeking an Expeditor to coordinate and expedite delivery of equipment and materials for multiple projects. You will ensure timely deliveries, track inventory, and collaborate with engineering, construction, and vendors daily.

The role involves maintaining expediting records, supporting accounts payable with invoice accuracy, and building strong vendor relationships to meet project deadlines. Travel to project sites may be required.

Formación

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years' experience directly related to expediting engineering and construction projects.
• Direct job site experience in construction required; travel to project sites may be needed.
• Knowledge of pipe, fittings, flanges, electrical and instrumentation materials.
• Advanced skills in data entry and Microsoft Office suites.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, as well as advanced skills in transportation.
• Construction industry knowledge: strong understanding of materials management practices in industrial construction.
• Problem-solving to address materials-related challenges and maintain smooth operations.
• Strong communication to coordinate with stakeholders and team members.
• Proficient in using materials management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Meticulous attention to detail for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Adaptability to changing project needs.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate material movement by tracking and reporting deliveries for multiple SI projects.
• Ensure material is delivered on schedule according to PO dates.
• Maintain a daily call log detailing conversations with suppliers and follow up as needed.
• Update and maintain expediting records, reports, and correspondence.
• Attend project meetings to inform team of critical path items.
• Build relationships with key vendor suppliers and contacts.
• Attend training to increase knowledge within the department.
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payment.
• Participate in resolution of vendor grievances and claims as directed.
• Solicit lien waivers from vendors at end of project.
• Obtain quotes from carriers and arrange transportation of material as necessary.
• Implement quality control measures for incoming materials and equipment.
• Coordinate procurement and expediting deliveries with procurement team.
• Establish and update Procured Material Log for assigned projects.
