Job summary

Saulsbury Industries in Odessa, TX seeks an Expeditor in the Procurement Department to coordinate and expedite delivery of equipment and materials for multiple projects. The role interfaces with engineering and construction, consulting with outside vendors daily, and addressing delivery issues to meet critical PO dates.

You will maintain expediting records, develop supplier relationships, and support Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 2+ years of experience directly related to expediting engineering and construction projects.
• Direct job site experience in construction is required; travel to project sites may be needed.
• Knowledge of pipe, fittings, flanges, electrical and instrumentation materials is desirable.
• Advanced skills in data entry and Microsoft Office Suites.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong transportation knowledge.
• Construction industry knowledge and understanding of materials management challenges in industrial projects.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material movement and track deliveries for multiple projects to meet PO dates.
• Support Project Managers, Procurement, and Construction teams to ensure on-schedule material delivery.
• Maintain daily call logs with suppliers and follow up as needed.
• Update expediting records and project folders; attend meetings when required.
• Develop relationships with key suppliers and vendors; resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable.
• Obtain lien waivers and arrange carrier transportation as needed.
• Implement quality control for incoming materials and ensure compliance with specs and standards.
• Maintain Procured Material Log for assigned projects.
