Job summary

Rally Construction Group (RCG) seeks a Material Expediter to keep materials, equipment, and site logistics flowing across several active construction projects. You will stay ahead of shortages, lead times, and scheduling needs to keep crews productive and projects on track.

The role requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of construction materials, and the ability to coordinate with suppliers and the Preconstruction Manager. RallyX is our management platform supporting operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in construction, supply chain, logistics is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in construction material handling, procurement, expediting, or a related role; multi-trade construction experience preferred.
• Reading construction plans, material takeoffs, estimates, and project buyouts; proficient with email and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Order materials across multiple scopes using established vendor and master pricing.
• Lock in project-specific pricing by confirming rates, quantities, lead times, and availability.
• Issue and manage purchase orders; verify vendor pricing and flag discrepancies.
• Coordinate long-lead materials and equipment deliveries; track lead times and availability.
• Support project buyout with vendor availability and lead-time information.
• Maintain records of purchase orders, delivery tickets, and invoices; assist accounting with cost coding.
• Coordinate material needs and equipment like concrete, lumber, trusses, and finishes.
• Monitor equipment on active jobsites and coordinate movement between sites.
