Job summary

WSP USA invites a promising Construction Materials Engineering and Laboratory Testing Intern for Summer 2027 in San Diego, CA. You will join the Earth & Environment team and contribute to real projects under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in materials testing and design calculations.

The program runs over 12 weeks, starting May 18, 2026, with a flexible start date. Applicants must be enrolled in Civil Engineering and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.
• Demonstrated interest in Civil Engineering and strong communication skills.
• Capable of taking direction and performing tasks safely and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn engineering materials properties and basic lab testing principles.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Help collect and maintain project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and company policies.
