Construction Materials Assistant Staff Project Manager

Overview

ECS Limited offers a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Staff Project Manager to join our Lawrenceville team and grow in a dynamic environment. No prior experience is required, as you will work under the guidance of experienced professionals, learning to perform various tasks including field work and early-stage project management.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with field tasks supporting construction materials testing projects; some office work may be included as you learn about the project lifecycle.
• Conduct field testing of materials such as soils, aggregates, foundations, concrete, masonry, steel, asphalt, and fireproofing.
• Document site observations and results in daily reports using proprietary software.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients, keeping the team informed of site conditions and additional testing needs; attend project meetings if required.
• Begin learning how to classify soil.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology. Degrees in Construction Management or certain Technology fields may not be considered unless they enable licensure (PE, PG, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Interest in project management, consulting, and business development.
• Knowledge of CMT principles and ASTM standards.
• Effective communication skills.
• Understanding of heavy construction safety practices.
