Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned leader to manage a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) team based in Milwaukee, WI. This role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, supervising field and lab teams, ensuring high-quality standards, and driving business growth within the construction materials sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage field service engineering projects and laboratory operations from initiation to completion.
2. Lead a team of engineers, project managers, and technicians specializing in construction materials testing.
3. Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and industry best practices in CMT.
4. Conduct technical reviews for proposals, reports, and engineering calculations.
5. Oversee departmental budget, forecasting, and financial performance.
6. Develop team goals and provide training to enhance staff skills.
7. Support business development through networking, client engagement, and community involvement.
8. Foster a positive team culture, uphold strong company values, and promote high employee engagement.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; a Master’s degree is preferred.
2. 6-8 years of relevant engineering experience, including lab testing, site observation, field quality assurance, and supervision of CMT projects.
3. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
5. Deep understanding of construction materials testing procedures and industry specifications.
6. Proven experience in budget management, forecasting, and financial oversight.
