Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking a Construction Manager/Owner’s Representative to lead complex private and public projects. You’ll ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met by coordinating with contractors, agencies, and internal teams in the field.

You will supervise inspectors, manage bids, and support permitting, with a focus on constructability reviews and contractor selection to deliver cost-effective outcomes from start to finish.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4+ years’ proven experience in construction and civil engineering.
• Ability to interpret contracts, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Comfortable working on active construction sites in varying conditions.
• Proactive planner with broad understanding of the full project lifecycle.
• Strong leadership skills and a reputation in the local construction community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Manager and Coordinator to obtain permits and approvals.
• Supervise inspectors, manage bids, and support permitting processes.
• Review and negotiate contracts, terms, and cost estimates.
• Prepare budgets, schedules, and constructability assessments.
• Monitor costs, timelines, and overall project progress for clients.
• Document changes to specs, scopes, and drawings meticulously.
• Identify risks and mitigate issues to keep projects on track.
• Oversee closeout, warranty releases, and final documentation.
