Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking a Construction Manager/Owner’s Representative to lead complex private and public development projects in Oregon. You will ensure schedules, budgets, and quality meet expectations by coordinating with contractors, municipal agencies, and internal teams.

You will supervise inspectors, manage bids, support permitting, and guide contractor selection to deliver cost-effective construction from start to finish while maintaining safety and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction and civil engineering experience.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, and specs.
• Comfort on active construction sites in various weather.
• Strong leadership and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Address construction issues directly or with PM.
• Represent AKS in the field with contractors and clients.
• Negotiate terms, draft contracts, obtain permits and licenses.
• Prepare and negotiate cost estimates, budgets, schedules, and constructability reviews.
• Review contractor billing and ensure quantities are accurate.
• Manage project closeout, including documents, bonds and completion lists.
• Oversee warranty release processes after completion.
