Job summary

EDG is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee capital projects from initiation to closeout, including outages, scope, cost estimates, and schedules. You will participate on-site, develop detailed plans and coordinate with utility accounts and vendors.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management, 0–1 year of relevant experience, and strong MS Office skills, with a focus on safe, compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 0–1 year of experience in Electric Utility Transmission & Distribution or similar industries.
• Superior interpersonal, leadership, communication, organizational and presentation skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication required.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Transcript(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Construction Group to manage capital projects through life cycle.
• Develop project scope, cost estimate and schedule with teams.
• Attend on-site field/scope visits and monitor progress.
• Develop detailed construction plans including outages and resources.
• Identify permits and coordinate with utility accounts on outages.
• Prepare bid packages and participate in vendor selection.
• Conduct pre-bid meetings with contractors and review responses.
• Perform constructability reviews and monitor safety/environmental concerns.
• Close out contracts and ensure as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all utility procedures and regulatory requirements.
