Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Construction Manager for a project based in Harriman, Tennessee, with mobilization to the site for the project duration. Union or union management experience is strongly preferred and construction management on conventional powered projects is desired.

The candidate will coordinate construction activities, ensuring schedule adherence, safety, cost, and quality in partnership with the Project Field Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field preferred, or relevant field experience.
• 14+ years construction supervisory experience, with at least 3 years of previous construction manager experience.
• OSHA Training.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site subcontractor activities to meet CPM schedule and ensure compliance with subcontract requirements.
• Direct budget and schedule controls; review equipment rentals and field materials.
• Lead safety, quality, and performance programs on site in line with division policies.
• Provide client interface support and weekly progress reporting to the Field Project Controls Manager.
