Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the retrofit, expansion, and build-out of delivery station facilities across multiple locations. You will coordinate owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and operations to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of construction management, project management, or owner's representative experience.
  • Experience managing commercial, industrial, retail, distribution, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, document control, scheduling, and project execution.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, BIM360/ACC, or similar construction management platforms.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from planning and design through execution, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Lead project startup activities, stakeholder alignment, contractor onboarding, permitting, and construction readiness planning.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, design changes, construction documentation, and drawing control.
  • Monitor project performance related to schedule, budget, quality, safety, and scope.
  • Lead project meetings, provide status reporting, and communicate risks, issues, and milestones to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Coordinate procurement, long-lead equipment, material deliveries, and site logistics to support project schedules.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, manage change orders, and support quality assurance and compliance requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate commissioning, turnover, punch-list completion, closeout documentation, and transition to operations.

starts at approximately 4 months (from start date until 12/31/2026), then followed by a 12-month contract if performance is met, and opportunities to extend after that. PTO and Holiday pay and benefits available

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate all phases of the construction lifecycle, from project initiation and preconstruction planning through commissioning, turnover, and project closeout. This individual will contribute to the retrofit, expansion, and build-out of delivery station facilities across multiple locations and will be a key liaison between owners, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and operational stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to established quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong project leadership skills, construction management expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across geographically dispersed locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction projects from planning and design through execution, commissioning, and closeout.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of construction management, project management, or owner's representative experience.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, document control, scheduling, and project execution.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, BIM360/ACC, or similar construction management platforms.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing ground-up construction and facility expansion projects.
  • Experience supporting grocery, cold storage, refrigeration, food service, or distribution facility construction projects.
  • Experience coordinating directly with architects and engineering firms throughout design and construction.
  • Familiarity with permitting, commissioning, and turnover processes.
  • Experience with procurement planning, long-lead equipment management, and supply chain coordination.
  • PMP, CCM, CMIT, or similar project management certification.
Nice to Have
  • Grocery refrigeration construction build-out experience.
  • Coordination and collaboration with architects during design development and construction.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and building systems installations.
  • Experience supporting multi-site construction programs.
  • Familiarity with commissioning and operational startup activities.
Work Environment
  • Work From Home position (Apart from traveling to sites)
  • Up to 50% travel to project sites throughout the United States. The majority of travel will be within driving distance of the individual, but will be subject to travel throughout the United States by plane.
  • Ability to support multiple concurrent projects in various stages of the construction lifecycle.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.

This Construction Manager will be responsible for all phases of the construction cycle, including project initiation, preconstruction planning, design coordination, construction execution, risk management, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout.
