Job summary

Plummer Associates, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Construction Manager I (CM1) to support field construction activities on diverse projects.

You will read plans, coordinate inspections, and assist the construction team, while collaborating with engineers, clients, and contractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget. This entry-level CM role offers hands-on training, opportunities to lead site inspections, and exposure to QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or EIT/CMIT eligible within 6 months.
• 0-4 years field experience in construction or CM.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willing to Travel.

Seeking a Construction Manager I (CM1)

Job Description

• 0-4 years field experience in construction or construction management.
• Must be able to read plans and specifications.
• Good Communication skills
• Perform Construction Inspection duties on projects assigned. Able to lead project inspection on multiple projects.
• Able to direct inspectors and field staff.
• Able to work with Engineers on projects during construction.
• Able to communicate with Clients, Contractor ad Engineers.
• Complete Daily Construction Reports and other documentation as assigned by Construction Manager.
• Assist Construction Manager as assigned.
• Ability to understand budgets and cost assignments.
• Willing to attend outside training – OSHA, ACI, Etc.
• Other Duties as Assigned.
• All duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• 0- 4 Years’ Experience
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college in Engineering or Construction Management and Engineering in Training or Construction Management Manager in Training (EIT or CMIT) from the appropriate state agency or CMAA or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment, or equivalent experience.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Able to use Microsoft Programs and others as assigned
• Willing to Travel
