Construction Manager

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in field construction is required
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience)
• Experience in the construction of 50,000+ square foot commercial buildings and/or building additions
• Extensive knowledge of construction-related processes and industry practices
• Demonstrated effective managerial capabilities and strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience in managing and processing contractor submittals during construction

Responsibilities

• Lead a team overseeing the construction management of major building projects (typically $15 million or more)
• Act as an Owner's Representative to facilitate all on-site activities performed by the General Contractor
• Apply appropriate methods and techniques for construction management
• Manage field administration and processing of construction submittals
• Coordinate construction activities, identify milestones, and ensure schedule adherence
• Estimate budgets and determine staffing requirements
• Monitor project progress, materials, and equipment to maintain schedule
• Proactively address potential problems to meet critical milestones
• Prepare progress reports and formal presentations for management and clients
• Implement company and client policies, including labor relations
• Serve as primary contact for construction-related communications
• Maintain strong client and community relations
