Job summary

Talent Groups is seeking a Construction Manager with hands-on experience in wireless small cell/node deployments to lead day-to-day construction efforts. The role focuses on building and integrating small cell nodes, coordinating contractors and field crews, and ensuring safety and quality on urban ROW projects.

The ideal candidate has OSHA 10 certification, strong Excel skills, and a track record in OSP/telecom construction.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• Proven experience building and integrating small cell nodes.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and field crews.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/plan sets.
• Knowledge of ROW construction, permitting, utilities, and traffic control.
• Strong MS Excel skills including trackers, sorting, lookups, and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day small cell wireless node and fiber construction projects.
• Direct and manage contractors/vendors to meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Oversee aerial and underground construction within the Right of Way.
• Coordinate permitting, licensing, traffic control, utilities, engineering, RF, and project management teams.
• Review construction plans and perform initial construction/site reviews.
• Track projects, milestones, materials, costs, and closeout activities using project tracking systems and Excel.
• Conduct/oversee quality assurance and safety observations in the field.
• Manage punch-list, restoration, integration, and final project closeout.
• Attend city/utility inspections and field meetings.

Job description

• Construction Manager / Node Construction Manager experience in wireless small cell/node deployments
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Hands-on experience building and integrating small cell nodes
• Experience with RF Sweep and PIM testing
• Strong MS Excel skills, including trackers, sorting, lookups, and pivot tables
• Telecommunications/OSP construction experience
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and field crews
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/plan sets
• Knowledge of aerial and underground OSP construction
• Familiarity with GO95, GO128, NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards
• Experience with ROW construction, permitting, utilities, and traffic control
• Valid driver's license

Preferred / Plus

• Fiber construction and integration experience
• Experience with OTDR and Optical Power Meter
• Grounding and bonding testing experience
• AC power/streetlight electrical experience
• Experience with wireless node closeout/punch-list activities
• PMP certification
• Experience working with municipal agencies and utilities in Northern California
