Job summary

SGS Consulting in the United States is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead on-site management for multiple pharmaceutical projects, ensuring PPE and safety compliance, permit issuance, and timely issue resolution.

The role requires strong communication, change control experience, and collaboration with CADD, Quality, and vendors to maintain schedule, quality, and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Min 5-7 years working in Pharmaceutical Engineering Projects and Construction Management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Change Controls and GMP manufacturing practices.
• BS in Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Daily on-site construction management for multiple projects; monitor PPE and safety compliance, issue safety permits, and address day-to-day questions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to schedule construction activities and communicate outages to affected parties.
• Redline drawings for as-building; work with CADD group to update drawings and assemble TOP package docs.
• Ensure work progresses on schedule and meets drawings and project specifications; collaborate with Quality on change controls.
• Gather pricing and assist with scoping upcoming projects; work with vendors to specify budgetary pricing for new equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily on-site Construction Management for multiple projects – monitor construction contractors for (each project) daily, monitoring for PPE and safety compliance, assisting with issuing safety permits and handling day to day construction questions. Escalating concerns and discussing with manager or other stakeholders as required.
• Working with stakeholders to schedule construction related activities and communicate outages to affected parties.
• Redline drawings for as-building and work with CADD group to get drawings updated, request new drawings etc. ;Work with CADD group to assemble TOP package docs.
• Ensure construction work is proceeding on schedule, and work is being performed in a high-quality manner according to the drawings and project specifications.
• Change controls working with Quality group to draft change controls and gain stakeholder alignment.
• Gather pricing and assist with scoping upcoming projects.
• Work with vendors to specify and gather budgetary pricing for new equipment as needed.
