Job summary

Job description

GreenBench is a commercial real estate firm with expertise covering a broad range of areas including leadership, land use and strategic planning, mixed use development, investment support, development management, construction management and portfolio services. We are headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland, with a satellite location in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania (where this position will operate from).

At this time, GreenBench has an opportunity to join the team in a project management role for projects at a variety of retail / multifamily driven properties throughout the Greater Philadelphia and NJ regions.The team provides development and construction leadership, knowledge, and guidance to owners of existing and planned commercial assets to drive value and deliver high quality projects with the ultimate goal of maximizing construction efficiency and championing projects to successful completion.

The candidate’s primary duties will include: planning, organizing, purchasing/contract administration, cost/schedule monitoring, job documentation, oversight and execution of construction projects.Additional activities will include construction budget estimates, drawing review, project management, and oversight of construction activities as a representative of the owner.

Qualifications:

• College degree in Building Construction, Engineering, Architectural or similar is preferred.
• Prefer to have minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management, including direct construction / field experience and preconstruction / estimating abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds (executive, property management, development, construction, asset management, leasing, accounting, tenants, vendors, etc.).
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize items with a high level of organizational skill.
• Ability to use technology for compiling estimates, spreadsheets, schedules, etc.
• Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project.
• Creative problem solving / strategic thinking.
• Strong sense of leadership and work ethic, with a sense of urgency.
• Must own a dependable vehicle with adequate insurance coverage, must have a valid/current driver’s license, and must be able to drive to properties for regular site visits and inspections.
