Job description

Title: Construction Manager

Location: Mississippi (onsite) - US

Duration: 12 months, possible extensions

Compensation: $75-80/hr

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Skillset / Experience: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with extensive experience leading large‑scale, complex construction projects in industrial and mission‑critical environments. This is a site‑based, hands‑on leadership role requiring consistent presence in the field to oversee construction execution from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving field operations, safety, quality, and schedule performance across all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead construction activities directly from the jobsite.
  • Oversee daily construction execution, sequencing, and coordination of all trades.
  • Enforce site safety standards and promote a zero‑incident culture.
  • Provide direct field leadership to general contractors, superintendents, foremen, and subcontractor teams.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to resolve field issues efficiently.
  • Manage short‑interval planning, look‑ahead schedules, and overall field schedule execution.
  • Ensure installation quality aligns with contract documents and performance requirements.
  • Identify and proactively mitigate constructability, safety, and schedule risks.
  • Drive field productivity, manpower planning, and material logistics.
  • Lead daily huddles, coordination meetings, and site walks.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and turnover activities in the field.
  • Maintain accurate reporting on progress, safety, manpower, and risk items.
Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years of construction experience with a strong focus on field leadership.
  • Proven experience delivering industrial and mission‑critical construction projects.
  • Extensive background managing active construction sites and subcontractor teams.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly in fast‑paced, high‑risk environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
  • Experience with schedule management, documentation, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in a Construction Management role.
  • Experience supporting testing, commissioning, or startup activities.
  • OSHA 30, CCM, PMP, or similar certifications.
  • Experience working in live, operational, or constrained construction environments.
  • Experience leading large, technically complex projects.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to work full‑time on active construction sites.
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, weather, and varying site conditions.
  • Ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and participate in field inspections as required.
  • Travel and extended site assignments may be required.
