Job summary

INSPYR Solutions seeks a Lead Construction Manager to oversee on-site delivery of hyperscale data center projects across Kansas City, Midland, and ATX. You will own the scope from shell through fit-out, coordinating landlords, GCs, and trades to keep multi-million-dollar programs on schedule and within budget.

The role requires autonomous leadership, strong risk management, and a track record in large-scale DC builds. Competitive compensation plus per diem is offered, with residency in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site delivery, owning scope end-to-end and guiding field teams.
• Conduct site walks for quality, safety, and progress verification against schedule.
• Coordinate contractors: RFIs, submittals, changes, and progress reporting.
• Track schedule updates, flag risks, and drive mitigation plans and recovery.
• Interface with the lead for decisions beyond authority and provide concise status updates.
• Close out inspections, update logs, and maintain audit-ready files.

Title: Lead Construction Manager

Location: Kansas City, KS orMidland, TX or ATX

Duration: 30 months + high possibility to convert to FTE

Compensation: $90 - $110 + per diem

The Lease Delivery team (within Global Data Center Engineering & Construction) is responsible for delivering leased data center capacity on aggressive timelines. The portfolio is scaling rapidly — new lease sites, retrofits, and fit‑outs are running in parallel across regions. We need a Lead CM who can operate with minimal oversight, own delivery of scope packages end-to-end, and provide leadership to the broader field team.

Typical Day in the Role

• Morning huddle with team, landlord, GC/Subs: set priorities, clear blockers, align on the day's critical path activities.
• Walk the site: quality checks, safety observations, progress verification against schedule.
• Contractor coordination meetings: drive accountability on deliverables, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Schedule and risk: Track updates, flag slippages, propose and drive recovery plans, and update trackers.
• Interface with your lead: elevate decisions that exceed authority, provide concise status reporting.
• Documentation: close out inspection records, update logs, maintain audit-ready files.

Top 3 Must-Have HARD Skills

1. Hyperscale / Mission-Critical Data Center Construction Management – Demonstrated experience running large-scale DC builds, including shell/core, fit‑out, or retrofit scopes.
2. Integrated Schedule & Risk Management – Ability to own and drive P6/master schedule, forecast risks, and proactively de‑risk timelines across multiple packages and trades.
3. Process & Documentation Discipline (SOPs/SIPs/RFIs) – Strong track record building and enforcing process frameworks (RFI management, submittals, inspection/test plans, SIPs) at a standard

Good-to-Have Skills

• Constructability review & design-build delivery judgment. The candidate needs to be able to identify major clashes, be able to review a phasing plan and provide feedback, logistical approach, etc.
• Experience leading/mentoring other CWs or field staff
• Familiarity with industry‑specific tools and operating cadences (e.g., Procore, Smartsheet, ACC)
• Lease‑specific delivery nuances (landlord interface, base‑building coordination, tenant improvement scopes)
• Safety program ownership or oversight at site level
