Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Life Safety Systems Construction Manager to oversee the installation, coordination, quality, and commissioning of life safety, low-voltage, and electrical systems on large-scale semiconductor and advanced manufacturing projects.

You will be the onsite leader for electrical and life safety system execution, partnering with project management, design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery from preconstruction

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical construction experience.
• Experience supporting industrial, semiconductor, mission-critical or high-tech projects.
• Experience in live manufacturing facilities.
• Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical and life safety systems construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals.
• Experience working in cleanroom environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee electrical, life safety, and low-voltage subcontractors throughout all phases of construction.
• Monitor daily installation activities to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Support startup, commissioning, functional testing, and system turnover activities.
• Lead onsite electrical quality control with document reviews, inspections, punch lists, and final acceptance.
• Coordinate with design teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to resolve complex challenges.
• Review drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, and design documents for compliance and constructability.
• Provide technical guidance and field leadership related to life safety and low-voltage systems.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and develop solutions to maintain timelines.
• Ensure all work complies with CSI specs and applicable codes; maintain stakeholder communication.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Life Safety Systems Construction Manager to oversee the installation, coordination, quality, and commissioning of life safety, low-voltage, and electrical systems on large-scale semiconductor and advanced manufacturing projects. This individual will serve as the onsite leader for electrical and life safety system execution, partnering closely with project management, design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery from preconstruction through turnover.

This role is ideal for a construction professional with experience supporting mission-critical, industrial, or semiconductor projects who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working directly in the field to drive safety, quality, scheduling, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee electrical, life safety, and low-voltage subcontractors throughout all phases of construction.
• Monitor daily installation activities to ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Support startup, commissioning, functional testing, and system turnover activities.
• Lead onsite electrical quality control efforts, including document reviews, inspections, deficiency tracking, punch list management, and final acceptance.
• Coordinate with design teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to resolve complex construction and coordination challenges.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and design documents to ensure compliance and constructability.
• Provide technical guidance and field leadership related to life safety and low-voltage systems.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and proactively develop solutions to maintain project timelines.
• Ensure all work complies with project standards, CSI specifications, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Maintain effective communication across all project stakeholders while driving collaboration and accountability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent field experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical construction experience.
• Experience supporting industrial, semiconductor, mission-critical, advanced manufacturing, or high-tech construction projects.
• Experience working within active or live manufacturing facilities.
• Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical and life safety systems construction.
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, schedules, startup activities, and commissioning efforts.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and design documents.
• Experience working in and around cleanroom environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
