Job summary

Lansing Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor for Masonry/Concrete Construction within the Building Technologies area. The role emphasizes hands-on teaching in both classroom and lab settings, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and two years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction field; OR Associate's Degree in a related field and four years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction field; OR High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of eight years relevant experience residential/light commercial construction field.
• Michigan Residential Builders License.
• Experience in masonry layout.
• If an educational degree is required, unofficial transcripts must be submitted with the online application.
• Foreign education credentials evaluation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Building Technologies courses in Masonry/Concrete Construction in classroom and laboratory settings.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge and hands-on skills to a diverse student population.
• Adapt instructional methods for different learning styles and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Daytime and/or evening face-to-face instruction may be required.
• Regular on-campus presence; hybrid schedules subject to change by the College.
