Job summary

Modern Railway Systems in Charlotte is offering an Internship in Construction Management to support field engineers and project management staff. You will help ensure projects progress on time and on budget, while gaining hands-on exposure to planning, scheduling, estimating, and supplier coordination.

The internship provides paid hours, travel reimbursement, monthly stipends, flexible summer dates, and opportunities to participate in the Annual Intern Day event at a company office location.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Experience with CAD software is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presentations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and plan field engineers' and others' work, ensuring accuracy.
• Train staff on processes and technical requirements.
• Maintain records on progress, costs, and material usage.
• Assist in detailed planning and scheduling of projects.
• Review plans for material quantities and pricing.
