Job summary

C&S Companies, a national planning, design, and construction firm with over 600 employees, offers a Summer 2027 Construction Management Internship in San Diego, CA. Interns gain hands-on experience across aviation, civil/site infrastructure, and program management while working with leadership and mentors.

You will contribute to projects under supervision, participate in intern socials and team bonding, and join our ONE C&S culture.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Available for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Completion of sophomore year preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D modeling systems.
• Flexible, detail-oriented team player who can manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Previous internship experience or involvement in a related student association a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform, under close supervision, routine aspects of Construction Management, requiring knowledge and application of principles learned in course of study.
• May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform tasks.
• Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
• Assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
• Provide support to staff members as needed.
• Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.
• Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified.

Position Overview

As an intern on our Construction Management team, you will be an integral part of projects and support key members of our team. Our internship program provides all interns an opportunity to meet with leadership and work with mentors on both professional and technical development. We also have a lot of fun - between company events, intern socials, and team bonding, our interns become a part of our ONE C&S mentality.

Who you are:

• Currently a matriculated undergraduate OR matriculated graduate student
• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management or related field
• Available for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or another related field. Completion of sophomore year preferred.
• Flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D modeling systems
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
• Previous internship experience or involvement in a related student association a plus.

Estimated Compensation Range:

$18.00-$26.00/hour*

*Actual compensation may vary based on prior internship experience, current academic year, degree program, certifications, and geographical location.
