Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance in Charlotte, NC is seeking a loss prevention consultant to deliver moderately complex services to construction clients, perform on-site evaluations, analyze data, and build service plans to control risk and costs.

You will also mentor junior consultants, support policy and tool development, pursue new business opportunities, and help demonstrate the value of loss prevention programs to customers.

Travel is required; strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in math/engineering or related field.
• Pursuing/obtained advanced degree or professional certification (CSP/ARM/CPCU/CIH/CPE).
• Advanced knowledge in risk assessment, service planning and progress measurement.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build relationships with customers and peers.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative services to construction clients in loss prevention.
• Conduct on-site evaluations and data analysis to shape service plans.
• Deliver risk assessment information to track progress and demonstrate value.
• Coach and mentor less experienced consultants as directed by management.
• Collaborate with management to develop policies, tools, resources and new products for service delivery.
• Pursue and help retain profitable business opportunities.
• Identify new LP opportunities and design programs to improve results and service quality.
• Build a network of contacts to enhance Liberty Mutual’s leadership in safety.
