Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance in Seattle seeks a loss prevention consultant to provide moderately complex consultative services, conduct on-site evaluations, and develop service plans to control risk, loss, and cost.

You will train and mentor junior staff, collaborate on policy and tool development, identify new business opportunities, and strengthen the company's leadership in safety through client relationships and measurable outcomes. Regular travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in math, engineering or related areas (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of directly related consulting experience in loss prevention or safety.
• Candidates typically pursuing or holding CSP, ARM, CPCU, CIH or CPE certifications.
• Advanced knowledge in risk assessment, risk analysis, solutions management and progress measurement.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site evaluations and create/implement service plans to control customer risk, losses, and costs.
• Provide risk assessment information to track progress and demonstrate value of services.
• Mentor and coach less experienced consultants as directed by management.
• Collaborate with management to develop policies, procedures, tools, and new products for loss prevention services.
• Actively pursue and retain profitable business and identify new opportunities for LP services.
